Emerging Leaders Campaign

Rectangle 284.png

Since 1992, El Nido Family Centers has awarded more than 670 scholarships, equipping them with the financial support and resources needed to achieve their higher education dreams.

Our scholarship, college prep, career awareness, and education programs are structured to assist students at every stage—before, during, and after their academic journeys.

Beyond financial aid, we provide comprehensive wraparound services, including mentors, tutors, and essential resources like food and clothing, to ensure both the academic and personal success of every student and their family. With these tools, we help break cycles of poverty and empower lasting success.

Now is the moment to invest in this generation of emerging leaders.

Through our 2024 Emerging Leaders Campaign, we aim to provide vital, comprehensive support to over 100 young people in the coming year. This initiative will strengthen El Nido’s 99-year legacy of empowering youth and their families by offering mentorship, academic guidance, and essential resources to help them thrive.

Join us and be part of creating lasting change for these remarkable young people and their families.

Meet Our Scholars

A few of the dozens of aspirational emerging leaders we serve every day...

Brandon

I’m incredibly proud to be an El Nido scholar. The career exploration opportunities at El Nido ignited my passion for data science, and I’m thrilled to be pursuing that path. My mentors and peers have stood by me every step of the way, and their unwavering belief in me fuels my determination to succeed.

My son and my community fuel my passion for service—both have given me so much, and I want to give back. With the unwavering support of my El Nido family, who believe in me every step of the way, I’m on the path to becoming a licensed social worker in California.

Antonio

El Nido was there every step of the way. And maybe that’s why, even though I didn’t make as many friends in college, I never truly felt alone. I’m proud to say I finished my college degree and going on to higher grounds.

El Nido has given me the skills, confidence, and support to embrace every opportunity. They’ve prepared me to be a leader both in my community at home and in my academic life in Boston. With their guidance, I’m ready to make a difference—not just for myself, but for others who need someone to believe in them, too.

Bridget

The team at El Nido has always believed in me, supporting me at every step. With their support, I’m thrilled to pursue my dream of working in healthcare.  My goal is to bring needed resources and education to my community, helping others navigate the complexities of our healthcare system. I believe everyone deserves to be healthy, happy, and thriving.
