Position: ERSEA and Community Partnerships Specialist (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment & Attendance)
Program: Early Head Start
Location: 2152 Manchester
Annual Salary: $40,000
Major Responsibilities: As a member of the Early Head Start team, will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all ERSEA activities—including outreach, recruitment, eligibility, enrollment and attendance—adherence of federal regulations and program policies, policy development, program planning, and reporting. Open client cases for service and assign families to caseloads of home visiting staff. Will lead quality assurance monitoring including ERSEA documentation, client satisfaction and file audits. Will build and maintain partnerships with local agencies that support the work of Early Head Start for referral, service utilization, collaboration and service leveraging outcomes. Reports to the Program Director.
Position Preferences: Experience in Head Start/Early Head Start programs and utilizing ChildPlus; knowledge of the South Los Angeles area, client population (low-income families with children under the age of three years), and local community agencies and their services; experience in creating and leveraging community partnerships; and bilingual/Spanish (oral and written) strongly preferred.

Position: Temporary AIM (Adult Identity Mentoring) Interventionist Floater
Location: Pacoima
Program: AIM
Salary: $3,042.00 per month
Major Responsibilities: Assists Program Coordinator with the coordination and facilitation of group and in-home sessions for the AIM program; assists with the recruitment, selection, and screening of clients for the program; facilitates individual and group sessions using the AIM curriculum and related materials; provides regular updates and presentations about AIM to El Nido staff and the community as needed; attends program meetings and conference calls on a regular basis; creates fliers and distributes information to clients and staff. This position will provide services in the San Fernando Valley, East Los Angeles, and South Los Angeles areas.
Requirements: BA in social work, sociology, psychology or other closely related field of study; knowledge about group dynamics, learning, adolescence, and group facilitation; demonstrated experience leading and/or co-facilitating group sessions with teens; experience working with high risk pregnant and parenting teens with a focus on pregnancy prevention and youth development; effective oral and written communication skills; public speaking skills; ability to work Monday-Friday with periodic evening hours; bilingual/Spanish strongly preferred.
AIM Interventionist will receive training and testing from the California Family Health Counsel to meet the requirement for Family Planning Health Worker Certificate.
