Position: Supervisor
Program: AFLP/Cal Learn
Location: Manchester Office
Annual Salary: $52,000 - $55,000
Major Responsibilities: Oversees the work of case managers, creating a supportive, productive work environment, delivering high quality services, and meeting agency/contract performance requirements. Primary responsibilities include supervision and development of staff, implementation of program operations/services consistent with the strategic plan, and quality assurance. Provides expertise regarding scope of work, professional standards, and program interventions and outcomes. Develops and promotes community partnerships to expand educational. social and recreational, vocational, and economic opportunities for youth. Completes program management reports. Assists the Director with special projects as needed.
Requirements: Masters Degree in health or human service field required (MSW strongly preferred) with case management or counseling experience with at risk youth, preferably pregnant and parenting teens; knowledge of social work and youth development practice and principles; familiarity with community based resources and services; demonstrated supervisory skills and experience sufficient to supervise a large group of employees; Proven track record meeting goals, deadlines, and producing positive qualitative and quantitative outcomes; excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills; experience coordinating and/or facilitating youth activities or support groups; ability to engage in staff development through coaching, ongoing supervision, and training; proficient computer skills; Clinical training background and/or experience required.

Position: Substitute Bus Driver
Program: Early Head Start
Location: Manchester Office
Hourly Rate: $12.00 - $13.00
Major Responsibilities: Provides on-call transportation of Early Head Start clients to program activities; inspects bus and/or van to ensure it is in good working condition (maintenance, gas, cleanliness, etc.); maintains bus/van records as required. May also provide assistance with group activities and miscellaneous tasks in office as needed.
Position Requirements: Qualified candidates must posses a valid California Driver’s License with Class B and Passenger Vehicle Endorsement; certificate for school bus/ youth bus weighing less than 26,001 pounds strongly preferred. Must have minimum of 3 years driving experience; familiar with South Los Angeles area and bilingual/Spanish preferred.

Position: Development Director
Location: Mission Hills Office
Program: Administration
Annual Salary: $50,000 - $65,000
Major Responsibilities: The Development Director is responsible for assisting the organization in raising funds to sustain the organization and allow it to thrive. This role includes working with individual board members to develop relationships with their contacts, providing agency materials to assist them with their outreach efforts, providing relevant donor information, follow-up on donor contacts, identifying new prospective donors and developing relationships with key and potentially key donors (e.g. volunteers). In conjunction with the Board Fund Development Committee and Public Relations Consultant the Development Director ensures that fundraising and friend raising events take place and are effective. Also responsible for leading, organizing and implementing an annual campaign that solicits funds from our regular donors; regularly works with staff, board, and PR to develop and enhance El Nido’s presence in the community through the web and using tools such as Facebook and Twitter.
Additional responsibilities include: creating a development plan, managing a part-time staff member dedicated to maintaining and updating the website and donor database; conducting research to identify potential donors; producing and developing the annual report and leading the process working with the Executive Director and Board President; and supporting the Events Committee in carrying out events.
Position Requirements: Bachelors Degree with 3 years experience leading fund development for a non-profit organization; excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to small and large groups; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to network and meet/develop new contacts; ability to work effectively with large donors, small donors, board members and staff; familiarity with donor databases such as Donor Perfect; high level of competence with technology based development tools including web based, social networking, and office productivity tools; grant writing a plus. Familiarity with local individual and corporate donors and non-profit social service agencies that are primarily government funded is a plus.

Position: Child and Family Development Specialist
Location: Manchester Office
Program: Early Head Start
Annual Salary: $36,000
Major Responsibilities: Provides 10-12 families and children weekly home visits to assist families in identifying family resources and needs; encourages and promotes the family’s achievements and self sufficiency; provides developmental, mental health, and nutritional screenings and assessments of children to determine the need for further evaluation, referrals or intervention; works with parent to develop weekly activity plans based on each child’s assessment and identified family needs; and integrates all head start components during home visits.
Requirements: BA in child development, human development, early childhood education, psychology, social work or related field; previous experience providing early childhood education, parent education or child focused counseling to at risk youth and families preferred; previous experience providing direct services to low-income families in a multi-cultural community. Bilingual/Spanish required.
